Rainforest Massage
This massage is a combination of Hot Stone, Aromatherapy & Crystal Massage with a twist! A refreshing spritz of water mist is released over the body periodically throughout the massage.
The Aromatherapy Massage Blend contains plants & flowers from the Rainforest.
The Hot Stones & Healing Crystals can
also be found in many of the world’s Rainforests.
I like the combination of using the Aromatherapy Blend with your hands, the Hot Stones next followed by the Crystals. 2 of each technique sounds good. That means if you are doing the Butterfly Stroke on the Back, you would do 2 passes with your Hands, 2 passes with Stones and the last 2 passes with Crystals.
Here is a recommended description of the treatment you can use to inform your clients.
Rain Forest Massage
Close your eyes and dream of exotic places as you experience the scents,
sounds
and energy of a tropical paradise. A gentle rain forest mist falls as you enjoy a soothing Aromatherapy Hot Stone & Healing Crystal massage. During this relaxing treatment, you will find yourself continents away, being lulled into an exotic sensory experience.

Massage Techniques

-Have stones ready in heater, crystals cleaned, mister filled and blend prepared before
client arrives. Place table with supplies in a position near table so it is convenient
for reaching during massage.
-Make
your client comfortable on a massage table.
Cover them with a sheet and blanket if necessary. When lying on their back, use a support under
knees to avoid stress on lower back.
-Careful
with your pressure over and around edges of bones, become aware of these areas
and lighten your pressure as you pass over them.
-“Flow”
is very important. Try to move from one
massage technique to the next without stopping and starting.
-When
placing the stones on the body for massage, glide the stones into the body as
if they are an extension of your hands.
The client should not “feel” the stones being plunked on their body.
-If you are doing the massage “full” body, extend the back & upper leg moves to cover buttocks and hip area.
Crystal suggestions - Try choosing crystals from the rainforest or Brazil like amethyst, rose quartz, smoky quartz.
Essential Oil Blend suggestions - lavender, patchouli, rosewood (if you can find it) if not try sandalwood. Follow this link to the Essential Oil Blends Post for more suggestions
